Arbol (Tree)
A gnarled olive trunk, rendered with painterly warmth, gives rise to a canopy woven entirely from interlocking six-pointed stars — nature and geometry rooted in the same hand. A meditation on growth, pattern, and the sacred order beneath organic form.

Artist BIO:
Siddiqa Summers is an artist based in Órgiva, in the Alpujarra mountains of southern
Spain. She draws constant inspiration from nature and is captivated by the infinite
shapes and colours of creation and its hidden structures. Her work is influenced by
the rich muslim heritage of the region and the visual language of traditional Islamic
design.
Working primarily with watercolour, she creates intricate geometric compositions
drawn by hand using compass and ruler, often incorporating elements of Kufic script.
Her work brings together precise structure and an intuitive use of colour, unfolding
through an attentive process in which balance and harmony emerge gradually.
For Siddiqa, making art is both a creative and contemplative practice; a way of
slowing down, cultivating presence and connection. It becomes an act of attention
and gratitude, honouring the subtle beauty that surrounds us. She hopes that those
who encounter her work may feel a glimpse of the silence, calm and wonder that
accompany her creative process.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts and has been leading workshops locally since 2019,
mostly in collaboration with cultural associations and retreat centres in the region.
